Chris Nelson of Scotland seemed both relieved and delighted after claiming his first WWO Tour title at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.

The Ol' Scot, who has been in the hunt of the Red Jacket of the WWO for ten year, shot a 74, 74, 77 to beat the rest of the field by 13 shots.

"This is my first win, and it was really hard," he said. "It has taken a monkey off my back, having lost so many years in a row."

"I got myself into a great position in the first round, let a few shots slip when with a errant drives. I fought back and it is nice to hold it together in the last round and shoot 77 to net another few strokes to my lead."

As is the tradition of the WWO, last year's winner, Nelson Cooney of Ireland, presented the prestigious Red Jacket and the Commissioner of the WWO presented the plaque that will bear Nelson's name.

Afterward, a few of the winners from the past WWO championships joined Nelson to celebrate his victory and remember their own.
